Arima Kaido Onsen Suzuran no Yu
Located a 15-minute walk from Kita-Suzurandai Station on the Kobe Electric Railway, this hot spring offers a garden open-air bath where you can enjoy the four seasons on a day trip. The two types of spring water they boast are natural hot spring water that springs from about 1,100 meters underground, and "Miyamizu", which is rich in minerals and is essential for the sake brewing of "Nada", and has been selected as one of Japan's 100 famous waters. After relaxing in the hot spring, you can also enjoy creative cuisine, including a kaiseki banquet.

プライベートサウナ 垢田の杜 桂月
Opened in 2024 after the renovation of a former traditional Japanese restaurant site, this reservation-only private sauna facility is located in a quiet residential area of Akada Town, Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi, near the sacred grove surrounding a local shrine. The private setting features an open-air cooling terrace surrounded by greenery, a barrel sauna with self-loyly for up to four guests, an open-air bath, and a cold plunge, with both day use and overnight stays available.
湯や 晴ル音
"Yuya Harune" stands in a corner of Yuno Onsen in Shunan City, Yamaguchi. They have three types of hot spring facilities: private hot springs, saunas, and large communal baths. The theme of the private hot spring is Yakushi Nyorai. "Tsubotsubo" is an open space where you can also take a bath in the outside air, with a bathtub shaped like the medicinal pot held by the Yakushi Nyorai in his left hand. In addition, the word "koukou," which represents a shining white light, is an image of the moonlight bodhisattva standing next to Yakushi Nyorai, and you can enjoy the feeling of bathing in dim moonlight even during the day. The public bath has been renovated while retaining the form of Yunoso, which closed in 2022, so fans of the old days will feel nostalgic.
HITOYADO SAUNA
Located on Hitoyadocho Ninjo Street in Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City, this private sauna with a living space accommodates one group per session. The sauna room, inspired by Finnish design, is set with temperature and humidity levels that support conversation while creating a deeply relaxing atmosphere. A self-service löyly system releases steam that fills the space, shaping a distinctive sauna experience.
箱根小涌園ユネッサン
This hot spring theme park brings together a colorful array of experiences, from swimming pools and hot springs to outdoor activities, dining, and shopping. "Yunessun," the hot spring area where swimsuits are worn, features a lazy river and unique baths, including the "Wine Bath." "Mori no Yu," an authentic day-use hot spring, offers open-air baths with scenic views as well as private baths, providing a relaxing setting for soaking in a variety of hot springs.
熊ノ沢温泉
Located approximately a 5-minute drive from JR Hachinohe Station, this day-use hot spring facility is easily accessible via the Tohoku Shinkansen. The natural Koki-no-Yu spring water, drawn from a depth of around 800 metres, flows freely at 100% capacity. The seasonal scenery viewed from the open-air bath offers a particularly special experience. The spring water, known as a “bijin-no-yu” (beautiful skin bath), is rich in botanical extracts and natural moisturising components, gently warming the body to the core in a short time. A wide variety of bathing options are available, including an artificial carbonated spring bath, a low-frequency electric bath, the Be-Skin Bath (women’s area only) with ultra-fine microbubbles, and a sauna. After bathing, unwind at "Momidokoro Hogushiya", a massage corner within the facility. Locally grown, carefully selected vegetables are also available for purchase.
ポルダー潟の湯
"Polder Kata no Yu" is famous for its skin-beautifying properties. This hot spring originates from a layer of seawater that is approximately 5 million years old, offering two different temperatures for you to enjoy. The facility offers various amenities, featuring a sauna and a reclining bath, and is easily accessible with barrier-free access and reasonable prices. There is an on-site restaurant, and with many tourist attractions nearby, it's a perfect stop on your journey. Shuttle buses for groups and banquet courses are also available.
くらま温泉
Located about 50 minutes by car from the center of Kyoto City, this natural hot spring facility is surrounded by nature in Kurama, Kyoto's inner sanctum. The spring water, which the facility boasts, is rich in iron and is known for its moisturizing effects on the skin, promoting blood circulation, and detoxifying properties. From the open-air bath, you can enjoy the view of the lush nature that changes with the seasons. A new barbecue facility has also been completed, and a value plan that combines the open-air bath and barbecue is also available. In addition to day trips, the facility also offers accommodation with a total of five rooms, and its kaiseki cuisine, which is only available to guests, is also popular. Original items, including waterproof pouches featuring a Tengu motif, are also available and make charming souvenirs.
かいづか いぶき温泉オートキャンプ場
"Kaizuka Ibuki Onsen Auto Campground," located approximately 10 minutes by car from the Kaizuka IC on the Hanwa Expressway, is a facility where you can enjoy a variety of experiences such as hot springs, camping, and activities in the midst of nature. At Ibuki Onsen, you can enjoy the slightly alkaline natural springs, known as the "hot springs of beauty," in an open-air bath or a private family bath, as well as a private sauna. There is a 200-square-meter auto campground that can easily accommodate two families, and plenty of indoor facilities for play even on rainy days. 飛べサウナ
"Tobe Sauna" is a traditional Finnish barrel sauna that offers a deep level of relaxation with the unique heat spread and wood aroma of a barrel. Experience the luxury of an authentic sauna in a completely private space and refresh yourself from the daily fatigue. Amenities and rental items are also available, making it easy to visit empty-handed.
花の駅・片品 花咲の湯
Surrounded by nature, this day-use hot spring facility features an open-air bath overlooking Mount Sukai, as well as a bedrock bath and sauna for unhurried relaxation. The on-site restaurant serves dishes prepared with generous amounts of ingredients from Katashina Village. "Hotaka no Megumi Water," one of the "Oze no Sato Katashina Springs" selected among the "100 Remarkable Waters of the Heisei Era," flows within the grounds and draws many visitors from both inside and outside the prefecture to collect it.

This roadside station in Naraha Town, Futaba County, Fukushima, is a facility that combines the atmosphere of the modern "J Village" with Kido-juku on the Hama-kaido road. It is equipped with natural hot spring facilities, and the food court offers a wide variety of local gourmet food, with the "Naraha Kaisen Tanmen (ramen noodles with Stir-fried vegetables)" made with fresh seafood being the most recommended dish. The product hall has a wide selection of Naraha Town's specialties, and is popular as a souvenir or to enjoy local flavors at home.
野天湯元 湯快爽快『湯けむり横丁』・みさと・
This hot spring facility in Misato, Saitama, recreates a nostalgic Showa-retro streetscape. It offers authentic bathing at the natural hot spring "Misato Onsen," drawn from underground, and highlights its attention to water quality with features such as a sterilizing device. Facilities include an open-air bath, an "electric bath," a "sauna," and a "cold plunge," creating a relaxed setting. The interior also includes a dining area, rest spaces, and relaxation facilities, making it possible to spend the day from bathing to dining. Parking for more than 200 vehicles is also available, allowing convenient access by car.
森のゆ花神楽
A day-trip hot spring facility inside Morinoyu Hotel Hanakagura. There is an open-air bath with a view where you can enjoy the majestic view of the Daisetsuzan Mountain Range on sunny days and a starry sky at night, and the large public bath is equipped with carbonated spring, low-temperature and high-temperature baths, a sauna, and a cold bath. It is well-equipped with a rest room and is popular for its open space where you can relax. It's easily accessible from Asahikawa City Asahiyama Zoo, so it's a great place to stop by after sightseeing.
ホテルサンバレー那須
This hot spring resort is dotted with nine accommodations, each with its own unique atmosphere, across the vast grounds of the Nasu Highlands. Boasting a variety of hot springs surrounded by nature, it offers a hot spring zone called "Yuyu Tengoku," where day-trip bathing is allowed. There are 18 types of outdoor hot spring pools in the summer, cave baths, power baths, and more, offering fun activities for both children and adults. Designed to recreate the atmosphere of a Showa-era hot spring town, it brings the feeling of a short getaway within the city. A particular highlight is the privately sourced "Saitama Mihashi Onsen," drawn from a depth of about 1,500 meters, known for its gentle feel on the skin and deep warmth. The spacious interior features a variety of baths, creating the atmosphere of visiting multiple hot springs. With a retro ambiance, the facility offers plenty to see as you walk around and is highly photogenic, making it an entertainment-rich destination for a wide range of generations.
BASE CAMP KITI
Located approximately an 8-minute drive from JR Futagawa Station and surrounded by Iwaya Ryokuchi Park in Toyohashi City, Aichi, "BASE CAMP KITI" allows you to bring your own food and drinks and enjoy a barbecue of your choice. "Yamanami-no-Yu" is a large day-trip hot spring facility located on the banks of the Kamanashi-gawa River in western Yamanashi . Situated within "Yamanami Fureai Park"—which also features a pool, park, and tennis courts available for all ages—you can enjoy a mix of playful activities and relaxing hot spring baths at your leisure. Known as "Hot springs for beautiful skin" due to their excellent heat retention and skin-enhancing properties, the facility offers 11 types of baths, including an open-air bath, as well as a sauna, ensuring a peaceful environment to unwind.
島ヶ原温泉 やぶっちゃの湯
"Shimagahara Onsen Yabucha no Yu" is a day-trip hot spring facility in Iga City, Mie Prefecture. In addition to a bath with natural hot spring water rich in minerals, an open-air panoramic bath overlooking the countryside, and a large bath that is known for leaving your skin smooth, there is also a sauna, a reclining bath, and more. There is also a free rest area and a souvenir shop with Iga's specialty products. In addition to the hot springs, there is a campsite with sites with power outlets that even beginners can enjoy, where you can relax while feeling the rich nature of the Kizugawa River. There are also plenty of activities that the whole family can enjoy, such as putt-putt golf and battery cars. Don't miss the restaurants that use local ingredients.
ほのかの湯 北広島
Opened in April 2025 in Kitahiroshima Town, surrounded by the rich natural setting of Hiroshima's Geihoku area, this day-use natural private hot spring facility has 15 rooms. Located approximately 5 minutes by car from the Chiyoda IC on the Chugoku Expressway, it is also visited by drivers and riders taking a break from the road. Options include "Standard" and "Semi-Premium" rooms with an indoor bath, open-air bath, and changing room with rest space, as well as "Premium" rooms equipped with a sauna, cold bath, and massage chair. In a private setting, couples, families, and friends can relax at a leisurely pace while soaking in cloudy, skin-friendly water rich in iron.
