"Sauna Cotan Sapporo" is located about a six-minute drive from the "Daiwa House Premist Dome" in Toyohira Ward, Sapporo. Its name combines the Finnish word kota, meaning "Hut," and the Ainu word kotan, meaning "Village." This auto-loyly sauna is supervised by a board member of the Japan Sauna Society. The men’s sauna features brick walls reminiscent of a Scandinavian sauna hut, while the women’s sauna has benches encircling a stove, evoking the feeling of a bonfire in a Finnish forest. Both settings recreate the atmosphere of Northern Europe. From first-time visitors to seasoned sauna enthusiasts, all can enjoy a soothing "Totonou" experience (deeply calming sensation after a sauna).
Day trip bathing facilities come in various forms, such as public baths, super public baths, and spas. A sento is a type of public bath, with bathing fees determined by each prefecture. A super sento is larger and offers more entertainment than a traditional sento, often with attached dining and entertainment facilities. 道の駅 蛍街道西ノ市
"Roadside Station Hotaru Kaido Nishinoichi" is located in Toyota Town, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, a naturally rich area famous for its fireflies. The station building, designed to resemble a traditional farming village, showcases a real steam locomotive, drawing visitors from across Japan. The station offers day trips to Nishinoichi "Hotaru no Yu" hot spring, a shop selling locally grown vegetables and processed game products, souvenirs, and a Japanese restaurant.
島ヶ原温泉 やぶっちゃの湯
"Shimagahara Onsen Yabucha no Yu" is a day-trip hot spring facility in Iga City, Mie Prefecture. In addition to a bath with natural hot spring water rich in minerals, an open-air panoramic bath overlooking the countryside, and a large bath that is known for leaving your skin smooth, there is also a sauna, a reclining bath, and more. There is also a free rest area and a souvenir shop with Iga's specialty products. In addition to the hot springs, there is a campsite with sites with power outlets that even beginners can enjoy, where you can relax while feeling the rich nature of the Kizugawa River. There are also plenty of activities that the whole family can enjoy, such as putt-putt golf and battery cars. Don't miss the restaurants that use local ingredients.
ミフネテラス
Mifune Terrace, conveniently located about 5 minutes by car from Mifune IC on the Kyushu Expressway, is a complex facility where you can refresh your mind and body, combining a hot spring, sauna, cafe, izakaya, and hotel. The hot spring "Yugetsu" has a large bath, an open-air bath, and 3 saunas that are perfect for sauna lovers, and the bedrock bath "Hoshi" has a planetarium. Equipped with a cafe, a large izakaya, and a hotel with a panoramic view of the night view of Mifune-cho, you can spend a luxurious time there after enjoying the hot springs or having a meal. There are also meeting rooms and working spaces available for rent, making it popular for sightseeing and business use.
スパリゾート雄琴あがりゃんせ
This day-trip hot spring facility on the shores of Lake Biwa features hot springs from two private sources. Guests can enjoy an indoor bath, a spacious open-air bath with Shigaraki-ware pot baths, a bedrock bath, a sauna, and a footbath. The deep-water bath is also a popular highlight. Beyond hot springs, the facility offers Japanese, grilled meat, and Italian restaurants, a theater with free popular plays, and a manga and magazine corner for all-day enjoyment. A free shuttle bus from JR Ogoto Onsen Station and Hieizan Sakamoto Station ensures easy access, making it a perfect stop to relax after leisure activities.
北投の湯 いわき健康センター
A multi-purpose spa located in Obama Town, Iwaki City, Fukushima, offering a variety of baths including an open-air bath that reflects the changing seasons, a herbal bath, a tourmaline bath, and high-concentration carbonated springs. The facility also features services such as an authentic loyly sauna, stone spa, and body scrubbing, along with a dining area and relaxation spaces. Known as a bath resort where families spend an entire day, the complex also accommodates group and business use. At "Yunessun", the swimwear-friendly hot spring area, visitors find not only a flowing pool but also unique baths such as the wine bath. "Mori no Yu", the authentic day-use onsen, offers scenic open-air baths and private bathing rooms, creating a serene setting for an unhurried hot spring retreat.
天然温泉かきつばた
Located within the Kariya Highway Oasis on the Isewangan Expressway, "Natural Hot Spring Kakitsubata" features a wide variety of bathing options, including open-air baths with free-flowing hot spring water, a mildly carbonated bath at a low temperature, electric massage baths, esthetic baths, and soothing tubs. The facility also offers saunas and a stone sauna (ganbanyoku). The natural hot spring water, drawn from approximately 1,200 meters underground, is a mildly alkaline chloride spring known for its excellent properties - it absorbs easily into the skin, helps retain body warmth after bathing, and is effective for dry skin and sensitivity to cold. With a range of relaxation spaces, the facility provides a comfortable experience for solo visitors and families alike, making it easy to spend a full day in comfort.

"Yamanami-no-Yu" is a large day-trip hot spring facility located on the banks of the Kamanashi-gawa River in western Yamanashi . Situated within "Yamanami Fureai Park"—which also features a pool, park, and tennis courts available for all ages—you can enjoy a mix of playful activities and relaxing hot spring baths at your leisure. Known as "Hot springs for beautiful skin" due to their excellent heat retention and skin-enhancing properties, the facility offers 11 types of baths, including an open-air bath, as well as a sauna, ensuring a peaceful environment to unwind.

Hyogo’s Mikki City is home to "Michi-no-Eki Yokawa," a signature destination of the Yoshikawa area. The site features the "Yamada Nishiki Digital Museum," the sake-tasting corner Yokawa Sakagura Street, and "Yamada Nishiki no Yakata" —a complex offering locally brewed sake made with "Yamada Nishiki" rice along with fresh regional produce.
