箱根小涌園ユネッサン
This hot spring theme park brings together a colorful array of experiences, from swimming pools and hot springs to outdoor activities, dining, and shopping. "Yunessun," the hot spring area where swimsuits are worn, features a lazy river and unique baths, including the "Wine Bath." "Mori no Yu," an authentic day-use hot spring, offers open-air baths with scenic views as well as private baths, providing a relaxing setting for soaking in a variety of hot springs.
サウナコタンサッポロ
"Sauna Cotan Sapporo" is located approximately a 6-minute drive from the "Daiwa House Premist Dome" in Toyohira Ward, Sapporo. Its name combines the Finnish word kota, meaning "Hut," and the Ainu word kotan, meaning "Village." This auto-loyly sauna is supervised by a board member of the Japan Sauna Society. The men’s sauna features brick walls reminiscent of a Scandinavian sauna hut, while the women’s sauna has benches encircling a stove, evoking the feeling of a bonfire in a Finnish forest. Both settings recreate the atmosphere of Northern Europe. From first-time visitors to seasoned sauna enthusiasts, all can enjoy a soothing "Totonou" experience (deeply calming sensation after a sauna).
ポルダー潟の湯
"Polder Kata no Yu" is famous for its skin-beautifying properties. This hot spring originates from a layer of seawater that is approximately 5 million years old, offering two different temperatures for you to enjoy. The facility offers various amenities, featuring a sauna and a reclining bath, and is easily accessible with barrier-free access and reasonable prices. There is an on-site restaurant, and with many tourist attractions nearby, it's a perfect stop on your journey. Shuttle buses for groups and banquet courses are also available.

野天湯元 湯快爽快『湯けむり横丁』・おおみや・

Designed to recreate the atmosphere of a Showa-era hot spring town, it brings the feeling of a short getaway within the city. A particular highlight is the privately sourced "Saitama Mihashi Onsen," drawn from a depth of about 1,500 meters, known for its gentle feel on the skin and deep warmth. "Shimagahara Onsen Yabucha no Yu" is a day-trip hot spring facility in Iga City, Mie Prefecture. In addition to a bath with natural hot spring water rich in minerals, an open-air panoramic bath overlooking the countryside, and a large bath that is known for leaving your skin smooth, there is also a sauna, a reclining bath, and more. There is also a free rest area and a souvenir shop with Iga's specialty products. In addition to the hot springs, there is a campsite with sites with power outlets that even beginners can enjoy, where you can relax while feeling the rich nature of the Kizugawa River. "Shiohama no Yu Shikoku Kenko Mura," located approximately a 10-minute drive from the Sakaide IC on the Seto-Chuo Expressway, is a bathing facility where baths, saunas, and dining create a setting for spending time throughout the day. The men’s and women’s bathing areas each feature a variety of baths, and the women’s bath includes a newly established dedicated "Löyly Sauna," where self löyly—uncommon in Kagawa—and daily aufguss sessions that fan steam to create waves of heat take place. Inside the facility, popular theater performances are presented, while the restaurant offers local Kagawa specialties along with a wide selection of drinks. The popular "Shikoku Aquarium" is approximately a 7-minute walk from the facility, and there are many nearby sightseeing spots.
スパリゾート雄琴あがりゃんせ
This day-trip hot spring facility on the shores of Lake Biwa features hot springs from two private sources. Guests can enjoy an indoor bath, a spacious open-air bath with Shigaraki-ware pot baths, a bedrock bath, a sauna, and a footbath. The deep-water bath is also a popular highlight. Beyond hot springs, the facility offers Japanese, grilled meat, and Italian restaurants, a theater with free popular plays, and a manga and magazine corner for all-day enjoyment. A free shuttle bus from JR Ogoto Onsen Station and Hieizan Sakamoto Station ensures easy access, making it a perfect stop to relax after leisure activities.
野天湯元 湯快爽快『湯けむり横丁』・みさと・
This hot spring facility in Misato, Saitama, recreates a nostalgic Showa-retro streetscape. It offers authentic bathing at the natural hot spring "Misato Onsen," drawn from underground, and highlights its attention to water quality with features such as a sterilizing device. Facilities include an open-air bath, an "electric bath," a "sauna," and a "cold plunge," creating a relaxed setting. The interior also includes a dining area, rest spaces, and relaxation facilities, making it possible to spend the day from bathing to dining. Parking for more than 200 vehicles is also available, allowing convenient access by car.
道の駅 蛍街道西ノ市
"Roadside Station Hotaru Kaido Nishinoichi" is located in Toyota Town, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, a naturally rich area famous for its fireflies. The station building, designed to resemble a traditional farming village, showcases a real steam locomotive, drawing visitors from across Japan. The station offers day trips to Nishinoichi "Hotaru no Yu" hot spring, a shop selling locally grown vegetables and processed game products, souvenirs, and a Japanese restaurant.
湯や 晴ル音
"Yuya Harune" stands in a corner of Yuno Onsen in Shunan City, Yamaguchi. They have three types of hot spring facilities: private hot springs, saunas, and large communal baths. The theme of the private hot spring is Yakushi Nyorai. "Tsubotsubo" is an open space where you can also take a bath in the outside air, with a bathtub shaped like the medicinal pot held by the Yakushi Nyorai in his left hand. In addition, the word "koukou," which represents a shining white light, is an image of the moonlight bodhisattva standing next to Yakushi Nyorai, and you can enjoy the feeling of bathing in dim moonlight even during the day. The public bath has been renovated while retaining the form of Yunoso, which closed in 2022, so fans of the old days will feel nostalgic.
天然温泉かきつばた
Located within the Kariya Highway Oasis on the Isewangan Expressway, "Natural Hot Spring Kakitsubata" features a wide variety of bathing options, including open-air baths with free-flowing hot spring water, a mildly carbonated bath at a low temperature, electric massage baths, esthetic baths, and soothing tubs. The facility also offers saunas and a stone sauna (ganbanyoku). The natural hot spring water, drawn from approximately 1,200 meters underground, is a mildly alkaline chloride spring known for its excellent properties - it absorbs easily into the skin, helps retain body warmth after bathing, and is effective for dry skin and sensitivity to cold. With a range of relaxation spaces, the facility provides a comfortable experience for solo visitors and families alike, making it easy to spend a full day in comfort.
森のゆ花神楽
A day-trip hot spring facility inside Morinoyu Hotel Hanakagura. There is an open-air bath with a view where you can enjoy the majestic view of the Daisetsuzan Mountain Range on sunny days and a starry sky at night, and the large public bath is equipped with carbonated spring, low-temperature and high-temperature baths, a sauna, and a cold bath. It is well-equipped with a rest room and is popular for its open space where you can relax. It's easily accessible from Asahikawa City Asahiyama Zoo, so it's a great place to stop by after sightseeing.
白州・尾白の森 名水公園 べるが
A multi-purpose outdoor complex where families can fully enjoy the beauty of nature. Visitors explore the nationally acclaimed Oshiro River, selected among Japan’s top 100 remarkable waters, join forest activities such as birdwatching, and savor Italian dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Located about 50 minutes by car from the center of Kyoto City, this natural hot spring facility is surrounded by nature in Kurama, Kyoto's inner sanctum. The spring water, which the facility boasts, is rich in iron and is known for its moisturizing effects on the skin, promoting blood circulation, and detoxifying properties. From the open-air bath, you can enjoy the view of the lush nature that changes with the seasons. A new barbecue facility has also been completed, and a value plan that combines the open-air bath and barbecue is also available. In addition to day trips, the facility also offers accommodation with a total of five rooms, and its kaiseki cuisine, which is only available to guests, is also popular. 有馬街道温泉すずらんの湯
Located a 15-minute walk from Kita-Suzurandai Station on the Kobe Electric Railway, this hot spring offers a garden open-air bath where you can enjoy the four seasons on a day trip. The two types of spring water they boast are natural hot spring water that springs from about 1,100 meters underground, and "Miyamizu", which is rich in minerals and is essential for the sake brewing of "Nada", and has been selected as one of Japan's 100 famous waters. After relaxing in the hot spring, you can also enjoy creative cuisine, including a kaiseki banquet.
ホテルサンバレー那須
This hot spring resort is dotted with nine accommodations, each with its own unique atmosphere, across the vast grounds of the Nasu Highlands. Boasting a variety of hot springs surrounded by nature, it offers a hot spring zone called "Yuyu Tengoku," where day-trip bathing is allowed. 熊ノ沢温泉
Located approximately a 5-minute drive from JR Hachinohe Station, this day-use hot spring facility is easily accessible via the Tohoku Shinkansen. The natural Koki-no-Yu spring water, drawn from a depth of around 800 metres, flows freely at 100% capacity. The seasonal scenery viewed from the open-air bath offers a particularly special experience. The spring water, known as a “bijin-no-yu” (beautiful skin bath), is rich in botanical extracts and natural moisturising components, gently warming the body to the core in a short time. A wide variety of bathing options are available, including an artificial carbonated spring bath, a low-frequency electric bath, the Be-Skin Bath (women’s area only) with ultra-fine microbubbles, and a sauna. After bathing, unwind at "Momidokoro Hogushiya", a massage corner within the facility. Locally grown, carefully selected vegetables are also available for purchase.
ミフネテラス
Mifune Terrace, conveniently located about 5 minutes by car from Mifune IC on the Kyushu Expressway, is a complex facility where you can refresh your mind and body, combining a hot spring, sauna, cafe, izakaya, and hotel. The hot spring "Yugetsu" has a large bath, an open-air bath, and 3 saunas that are perfect for sauna lovers, and the bedrock bath "Hoshi" has a planetarium. Equipped with a cafe, a large izakaya, and a hotel with a panoramic view of the night view of Mifune-cho, you can spend a luxurious time there after enjoying the hot springs or having a meal. There are also meeting rooms and working spaces available for rent, making it popular for sightseeing and business use.
花の駅・片品 花咲の湯
Surrounded by nature, this day-use hot spring facility features an open-air bath overlooking Mount Sukai, as well as a bedrock bath and sauna for unhurried relaxation. The on-site restaurant serves dishes prepared with generous amounts of ingredients from Katashina Village. "Hotaka no Megumi Water," one of the "Oze no Sato Katashina Springs" selected among the "100 Remarkable Waters of the Heisei Era," flows within the grounds and draws many visitors from both inside and outside the prefecture to collect it.
BASE CAMP KITI
Located approximately an 8-minute drive from JR Futagawa Station and surrounded by Iwaya Ryokuchi Park in Toyohashi City, Aichi, "BASE CAMP KITI" allows you to bring your own food and drinks and enjoy a barbecue of your choice. Opened in April 2025 in Kitahiroshima Town, surrounded by the rich natural setting of Hiroshima's Geihoku area, this day-use natural private hot spring facility has 15 rooms. Located approximately 5 minutes by car from the Chiyoda IC on the Chugoku Expressway, it is also visited by drivers and riders taking a break from the road. Options include "Standard" and "Semi-Premium" rooms with an indoor bath, open-air bath, and changing room with rest space, as well as "Premium" rooms equipped with a sauna, cold bath, and massage chair. In a private setting, couples, families, and friends can relax at a leisurely pace while soaking in cloudy, skin-friendly water rich in iron.
道の駅 ならは
This roadside station in Naraha Town, Futaba County, Fukushima, is a facility that combines the atmosphere of the modern "J Village" with Kido-juku on the Hama-kaido road. It is equipped with natural hot spring facilities, and the food court offers a wide variety of local gourmet food, with the "Naraha Kaisen Tanmen (ramen noodles with Stir-fried vegetables)" made with fresh seafood being the most recommended dish.
