Located in Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture, the mysterious "Miyama Cave, Gujohachiman" is a 2,000m long cavern. It features a vertical hole structure that is rare even in the world, and the cavern has many stairs and undulating features, giving you a feeling of adventure. Located deep underground, the temperature inside the cave remains cool at 13-14°C (55-57°F) throughout the year, making it a popular summer escape spot. Pets are also welcome inside. Try making food samples and go caving. There is also a wide selection of souvenirs, including minerals.
