A Retro Cinema Evoking the Nostalgia of the Showa Era
"Gallery Shochikuza Cinema," designed in the style of a 1950s (Showa 30) movie theater, offers a retro atmosphere where the film "Twenty-Four Eyes" is continuously screened. On the second floor, the stylish space features the "Hideko Takamine Gallery," dedicated to the film’s leading actress, along with a booth for the theater troupe Gekidan☆Shinkansen, together with books and lifestyle items.

The Literary Museum of Tsuboi Sakae, a Noted Woman Writer From Shodoshima
At the "Tsuboi Sakae Museum of Literature," manuscripts of her celebrated work "Twenty-Four Eyes," personal belongings, and numerous first editions are on display, offering an insight into the daily life of the author who cherished Shodoshima. Also exhibited are letters from poet Tsuboi Shigeji and novelist Kuroshima Denji, both born on the island and renowned for leaving a significant mark on modern Japanese literature.

Nostalgic "Watashibune" Featured in the Movie
From the "Olive Navi Pier" below "Michi-no-Eki Shodoshima Olive Park", a seasonal "Watashibune" service operates with a small vessel seating up to 12 passengers, reaching the "Twenty-Four Eyes Movie Village Pier" in about ten minutes. This romantic crossing offers a shortcut across Uchime Bay, adding both charm and nostalgia to the journey (for operation details, see the official website).
