A Rich Collection Featuring Rare Ivory Carvings and More
The main building of the "Agape Ohtsuru Museum (AOM)" has a permanent exhibition of about 500 pieces, including ivory sculptures, Chinese art, bronzeware, porcelain and pottery, calligraphy and hanging scrolls, and matchlock guns. The ivory collection in particular is a rare opportunity to view in Japan, a signatory country to the Washington Convention, which regulates the international trade of ivory and other products.

Vibrant Original Lithographs by Chagall
The new wing, the "Agape Chagall Museum of Art," opened in November 2024 next to the main building, the "Agape Ohtsuru Museum (AOM)." It displays approximately 350 original lithographs created and supervised by Marc Chagall, one of the most representative artists of the 20th century and known as the "painter of love".
