In front of the shrine's main hall, which is surrounded by a sacred forest, there are two torii gates placed in a formation that is rare throughout Japan. The main sanctuary enshrines a divine couple: "Ame-no-Oshihomimi-no-Mikoto", the god of agriculture, and "Takuhata Chijihime-no-Mikoto", the goddess of weaving. In Izumiotsu City, known for its flourishing textile industry, "Takuhata Chijihime-no-Mikoto" is especially worshiped as the deity of textiles.
