The "Hassaku Festival" —A Cherished Autumn Traditio
The "Hassaku Festival" is a festival held on August 1st of the lunar calendar, around September 1st in modern times, to pray to the guardian deity for a rich harvest and the safety of one's family. There are many events such as the famous Futon Taiko drum, children's mikoshi, and dedicated folk dances. There are many stalls lined up on the grounds, where everyone from children to adults can have a fun time.
Ema and Other Offerings Honoring "Sugawara no Michizane"
"Sugawara no Michizane," famous as the god of learning, was a politician from the Heian period, and there are many shrines related to him nationwide. However, the company’s "main shrine" has a shrine made by "Sugawara no Michizane," with the principal image enshrined. Every year during the entrance exam season, the "Amulets for Passing Academic Success" and "Daruma Ema" are so popular that there is a long line of worshipers.
