March 3 marks the Peach Festival, also known as Hinamatsuri
The traditional decoration "Sagemon," displayed in celebration of children’s healthy growth, is illustrated in vivid colors, and the Fukukoshi figures are also depicted enjoying the colors of spring
Sagemon is said to have originated when ladies-in-waiting of the Yanagawa domain used leftover kimono fabric to create children’s toys and koto plectrum cases
For this reason, the sea bream depicted to the right of the words "Chikuzen Hakata" is designed with reference to kimono patterns
The design expresses the arrival of spring through this goshuin
