Ebisu for Prosperity and Daikoku for Good Fortune

Located in Hakata Ward of Fukuoka City, "Toka Ebisu Shrine" is a historic place of worship with a legacy of more than 430 years, venerating "Ebisu," the deity of prosperity, and "Daikoku," the deity associated with harmonious connections. Every year from January 8 to 11, the "New Year Grand Festival" draws over one million visitors from across Japan, creating a lively atmosphere as travelers seek the shrine’s auspicious offerings, including sea-bream-shaped omikuji and distinctive ema plaques. In October, the shrine hosts "Daikoku-sai," an interactive cultural festival featuring limited-edition goshuin, traditional craft workshops, and dedication performances by contemporary calligraphy artists active throughout Kyushu and Fukuoka, offering memorable experiences for guests of all ages.

This special stamp is associated with blessings of good fortune and prosperity. It is available only for a limited period and concludes once supplies run out, making early visits particularly valued.

Autumn Daikoku Festival for All Ages

This interactive cultural festival honours the virtues of "Daikoku," whose sacred spirit was enshrined here as a divided deity from Izumo Taisha. First held in 2025, the event transforms the approach to the shrine into a lively promenade lined with kitchen cars and seasonal vendors, offering traditional craft workshops and a range of limited talismans such as matchmaking charms. It provides a rich array of autumn experiences inspired by the benevolent qualities of Daikoku.
