Experience "Japan Blue" with Tokushima’s traditional craft, indigo dyeing

Experience authentic indigo dyeing at an indigo dyeing workshop in Tokushima Prefecture. Using dyes from the same workshop, you can fully enjoy the world of dyeing until you are satisfied. What is unique about this workshop is that it has a wide selection of trial items, about 50 in total, including about 20 types of stoles, 10 types of clothes, and 6 types of bags. Since the dyeing is done in large bottles, it is also possible to try it out in groups. Gloves and aprons are available for free rental, so don't bring your own.

Can Be Enjoyed Even by a Large Number of People

Both children and adults can easily experience indigo dyeing. There are four large 900 liter tanks, which is more than three times the size of a typical indigo dyeing tank, and up to 30 people can dye at the same time, allowing three generations of families and groups to come together and experience culture and traditional techniques.
